Village Players at 8 North Center for the Arts is looking for TWO passionate and creative interns to join our Summer Youth Theatre Program, NextGen On Stage: Theatre for Young Audiences! This is a paid internship ($1,300 stipend) perfect for college theatre students, educators-in-training, or young professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in youth theatre.
Village Players is a community theatre in Fort Thomas, Kentucky with over 60 years of history. We produce 4 mainstage productions, a New Works Festival, and a youth show every year. In addition, Village Players has established 8 North Center for the Arts as a community arts hub where we offer classes, gallery shows, and other programming to bring theatre, music, dance, and visual art to broad audiences.
NextGen is our educational theatre program and is in its second year. We currently offer a summer program for high school students with a focus on Theatre for Young Audiences. The goal of this program is to be affordable and accessible to all students. We meet students where they are, offering training and guidance with a focus on process and learning. This summer, in addition to working on a production, we will be offering weekly workshops taught by professional theatre artists from across the region.
