-
The first day, will involve a short lesson on color mixing with acrylic paint, transferring a drawing, and hand-painting a still-life scene onto a rigid panel. (Reference images will be provided).
-
The second day will involve hands-on instruction that guides the student in creating one-of-a-kind hand-painted papers, using a gel plate and acrylic paint. The goal is to produce papers that can be used in their final project, covering the painting that they created the day before. I will encourage students to cut their papers down and share with other students to get the widest range of colors, values and textures
-
The third day will be choosing hues and values of painted paper and applying them to the wood panel to create a finished Torn Paper Painting.
